Only a few days of "recreational picking" left

The combination of the very ripe state of the berries and that strong wind/rain last week resulted in a LOT of the crop being knocked off the bushes. We are going to close completely at the end of the evening on Thursday (Sept. 13th) this week. There really is not much left and what is left is overripe. It is too bad that we won't have late-fall picking, because it is such a nice time to be outside. Oh well, it would be too much to ask for a great fall harvest given the abundance this past August.
